Part I - Best Qualified Screening

This section may be used to conduct an application appraisal screening to select a reasonable number of the best qualified applicants to move on to the next phase of the recruitment process. This section will not be scored, but preference may be given to applicants who possess the following:

 Part II: Training and Experience Supplemental Questions (Scored)

Based on your responses to Part II of this supplemental questionnaire, your job-related experience and training will be evaluated using a pre-determined formula. Scores from this evaluation will determine applicant ranking and placement on the eligible list. Narratives provided by applicants describing experience and/or training will not be scored but will be available to the hiring authority and may be utilized for interview and selection determinations.

Planning, prioritizing, assigning, training, and evaluating work activities of staff.

Understanding and interpreting complex rules, laws, regulations, and procedures.

Collecting, researching, and analyzing complex or highly sensitive law enforcement, crime, and intelligence data from multiple intelligence databases using qualitative and quantitative methods.

Preparing a variety of bulletins and other time-sensitive materials for dissemination of information.

Maintaining liaison with staff from other jurisdictions, agencies, departments, and/or the Sheriff's Office to share and exchange crime and intelligence information.

Preparing and maintaining a variety of records and statistics, including case files, activity logs, unit statistics, and crime data.
