About the Position:
• Duties would include providing professional nursing services to include but not limited to: nursing assessments, planning, interventions, health related education, case management, and administering medications and treatments prescribed by a person authorized to prescribe by state law.

Job Type/Salary:
• Open/Close dates: 7/6/2022-until filled
• Full-time
• Annual Salary is (RN III) $65,000; (RN II) $60,000; (RN I) $55,000
• $3.00/hr shift differentials when working evening, nights, or weekends and holidays
• Primary Working Hours are: 6:30am-3:00pm; 2:30pm-11:00pm; 10:45pm-6:45am
• FLSA Status: Exempt
• Primary Work Location/Department: Nursing Department

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
• (Level III) – Bachelor’s in Nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) and one year of professional nursing experience OR Associate in Nursing and two years of professional nursing experience OR Associate in Nursing and three years of LPN experience in psychiatric nursing. (Level II) – Bachelor’s in Nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) OR Associate in Nursing and one year of professional nursing experience OR Associate in Nursing and two years of LPN experience in psychiatric nursing. (Level I) – Associate in Nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). Note: If the applicant has an out of state license with eNLC, he/she cannot be in a position that bills.

Special Requirements:
• Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background check
• Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
• Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.

About us: The Oklahoma Forensic Center in Northeast Oklahoma (Vinita) is the largest inpatient behavioral health facility in the ODMHSAS system. We employ around 250 individuals and house approximately 200 consumers whom have been found incompetent for adjudication or adjudicated as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity.
