This position is located in Central Office, Local Government Division. Limited Telework Capability Post-Training Period.
JOB DUTIES: This position will be responsible for development and implementation of several new programs within the division as well as recommending policies, rules and regulations which pertain to the administration of assigned programs consistent with federal and state laws. Program development will involve training and information sharing to counties and cities to ensure the maximum amount of federal funds can be made available. The position will establish and oversee program funding as well as scheduling of projects that are eligible for state and federal funds. Continued analysis and monitoring of the programs in order to recommend and implement changes to streamline project deliver, by creating standardized process for delivery of these programs will be required.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Detail Oriented, Self-Motivated, Problem Solving, Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other project management software as deemed necessary. This individual must be comfortable with public speaking and willing to work with others as a goal-oriented team.
At this level, employees are assigned responsibilities involving the direction or supervision of a work section of a division or will have responsibility for a single program area administered by the agency and will perform all essential functions related to the position.

Ability is required to administer programs and supervise personnel; to maintain effective working relationships with others; and to exercise good judgment in the solution of problems.

Education and Experience required at this level consists of a bachelor’s degree and three years of professional supervisory, managerial, consultative or administrative experience in public administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional level experience in the above listed areas for each year of the required education.
