Working Title: Marketing Specialist
Division: Strategic Communications
Work Location: Administrative Office, Oklahoma City
The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for executing effective marketing strategies, assisting with campaign development, analyzing the effectiveness of each campaign and developing our marketing lead generation programs. The successful candidate will play an integral role in building and engaging OTA’s customer base, creating effective strategies to promote the long-term growth of PIKEPASS, and producing information campaigns on Transportation Cabinet-led initiatives.
•Conduct market research regarding consumer requirements, habits and trends.
•Plan, design and develop effective presentations.
•Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
•Assist in outbound/inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas such as content development and optimization, advertising, event planning, etc.
•Serve as liaison with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns.
•Collaborate with marketing and other professionals to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts.
•Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, television, etc.)
•Assist in analyzing marketing data to help shape future marketing strategies.
•Undertake individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned.
•Assist in day-to-day media/public relations duties.
•Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; organize and conduct several projects simultaneously; analyze data; and work well in a fast-paced collaborative work environment.
The ideal candidate will:
•Build graphic content using Adobe Creative Suite.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools; of marketing elements including traditional and digital marketing such as Search Engine Optimization/Social media and market research methods. Skill in use of all Microsoft Office programs and graphic design; and strong presentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related discipline plus 3 years of experience in marketing or marketing communications.
Possession of a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and must be willing and able to perform all job-related in-state travel associated with the position.
