ASSESSMENTS PROGRAM MANAGER
OFFICE OF ASSESSMENTS, OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OKLAHOMA CITY REGION

JOB SUMMARY
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Assessments office. This includes but is not limited to contract review, monitoring district assessment practices, assisting and communicating timelines to districts, web page maintenance, and producing public-facing documents. Collaborate with participating local education agencies and contracted partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Strong clerical skills including mastery of Microsoft suite and adobe; strong writing, editing, and communication skills with the expectation of producing public-facing publications, communications and web pages;
• Experience independently editing and revising web pages with strong HTML or Drupal skills;
• Knowledge of federal, and state educational laws, administrative codes, and regulations as they pertain to Oklahoma Academic Standards and College- and Career-Readiness standards, if any;
• Providing technical assistance and professional development to local education agencies (LEAs) regarding assessment processes;
• Reporting and evaluating project status to the Executive Director;
• Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines;
• Serving as a point of contact to constituents to ensure team actions remain organized, on track, and synchronized;
• Performing quality control on the programs to ensure products are developed as expected;
• Adjusting schedules and targets on the programs as needed;
• Performing quality control on program components throughout development to maintain the standard expected;
• Maintain a central database for contracts, MOUs, and district contacts;
• Provide day-to-day management of the Assessment contracts, timelines, and office deliverables to vendors;
• Organize multiple complex schedules, planning meetings, and timelines with critical deadlines;
• Manage the Academic Assessment Monitoring Program and provide support to SDE staff and LEAs.

TRAVEL
15% travel required

TELEWORK
This position is eligible to telework up to two (2) day a week after supervisor approval and completion of initial training. A Telework Agreement is required upon hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT 
• The work environment for this position includes
o Travel in and around Oklahoma City
o Office setting; While performing the duties of the job, employee is frequently required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine/printer, office telephone;
• Frequently ascends/descends stairs;
• Frequently communicates with others accurately and effectively;
• Frequently lift up to 25 lbs.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis;
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check;
• Must possess a US driver’s license to perform necessary job-related travel.

SALARY RANGE
$60,000-$65,000

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in business, education, finance or closely related field;
• Five (5) years’ experience in contracts, office management or program management
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of relevant experience for each year of the required education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certified.
