Job Details
• Part-time/Temporary, 20 hours per week.
• Supports the Information Technology Operations Command Center
• Hourly Rate is up to $15 based on education and experience.

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the OMES IS Information Technology Operations Command Center.
• Monitors functionality of Incident Management systems and applications.
• Ensure all appropriate support groups are engaged and focused on restoring service in a timely manner.
• Notify, escalate, and communicate to leadership and affected stakeholders the existence of service impacts when required.
• Fulfill requests while providing quality, timely and courteous customer support.
• Work with Service Desk and other Infrastructure groups to provide timely resolution to incidents in a collaborative manner.
• Proactively detect and help prevent future problems/incidents and initiate the Problem Management process to allow quicker root-cause diagnosis and resolution.
• Ensure problems are identified for the Problem Management process in a timely and prioritized manner.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
• This position works in a comfortable office setting for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required. Evenings, Nights, and weekends may be required.

• 60 semester hours toward a degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience in a related field for each year of the required education.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess
• Knowledge of a working technical network operations center
• Knowledge of service levels and impact to customers
• Knowledge of service management platforms
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
