About the Position: The individual selected for this position will work in the Prevention Division of Central Office located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS). Under general supervision, the individual will work with the Community-Based Prevention initiatives, including state and local partners for implementing primary prevention.
This position works with providers to plan and develop needed prevention services, provides and/or links with technical assistance and training, and monitors existing programs. Assures compliance with ODMHSAS standards, evidence-based strategy requirements and other applicable governing/codified standards in managing and delivering prevention services.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Human Relations, Psychology, Public Health, Public Administration, Education or related degree and four years professional experience in behavioral health field, of which two years must be in substance abuse prevention or other related prevention or public health experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
NOTE: No substitution for bachelor’s degree.
Preference may be given to applicants who are Certified Prevention Specialist.
