Introduction

The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry (ODAFF) is seeking a full time FIA Forester II in the Oklahoma Forestry Services. This (PIN #04000176) is a statewide, traveling position, working for the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture. If selected the candidate must live somewhere in the Eastern half of the state. The State of Oklahoma offers a comprehensive Benefits Packet, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents. FIA foresters travel the state, taking measurements on long-term fixed radius research plots. The job requires outdoor work 95% of the time and significant travel four days per week. Base salary for a Forester II is $39,245 plus retirement and benefits, a work vehicle, and per diem for out-of-town travel. You must be willing to work outside in most conditions and be willing to learn.
