This position is located at Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center in Norman, OK.

This position provides direct psychiatric services for consumers. Assists in planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing professional service activities and programs assigned. Salary is $103,110.00 plus allowance for benefits!

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) preferred, but will consider Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with psych experience or a newly graduated FNP/PMHNP with RN psych experience will also be considered. Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to include prescriptive authority. Or, a graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program, with state licensure and certification in this specialty and prescriptive authority from state, or graduate of a licensed program that meets the eligibility requirement of state and federal licensure regulations. Drug Enforcement Administration (DNA) is required.

About this Facility: COCMHC was opened in 1968 and was the nation’s first community mental health center. It was funded through a federal grant program that has resulted in similar facilities throughout the country. Built on the premise that people suffering from mental illnesses would be better served in the community as opposed to an institution, the center has played a pivotal role in restoring the lives of countless area residents. COCMHC was awarded a CARF Three-Year Accreditation for the following programs: PACT (Program of Assertive Community Treatment), Evaluation and Referral, Adult Outpatient, Team Green PSR (Psychiatric Rehabilitation), Systems of Care and Transitional Services, and Child and Family Services. COCMHC is located in Norman, Oklahoma and employs approximately 95 individuals from Norman and surrounding communities.
