As a Copy Editor with OMES you will enjoy:

Job details
• Full-time 40-hour work weeks.
• Support all divisions of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services.
• Salary is $42,500.

• Coordinate and assist with research, writing and editing informational and educational
  publications, bulletins, powerpoints and pamphlets.
• Correct grammar, spelling and punctuation errors following AP style guides.
• Fact-check customer content.
• Ensure documents are readable to the target audience and comply with the OMES brand image.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
• This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of
  the workday.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually mild.
• This position requires reading, phone usage and internet usage.

• A Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or Journalism.
• Four years of professional experience in journalism/copy editing or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess
• Knowledge of the media process.
• Strong proficiency in written, visual and oral communications.
• Familiarity with Office 365 for communication purposes including Teams meetings.
• Ability to use the track/edit tool in Word.
• Ability to use the comments tool in Adobe Acrobat.
