Job details
• Full-time 40-hour work weeks.
• Support the Information Services Division
• Salary is based on experience and education.

• Define, create, implement, and execute IT asset related strategy, policies and procedures, life cycle management of software and hardware assets.
• Identify risks, track costs and control adherence to asset management standards.
• Work with IT leadership to develop strategies to optimize technology spend across the organization.
• Partner with cross-functional teams in the development of enterprise-wide technology purchasing standards and procedures.
• Ensure agency and legal guidelines are followed for the managing IT hardware and software assets and serve as a liaison to other departments on matters pertaining to IT assets.
• Implement and manage the production and distribution of ITAM status reporting, metrics ad benchmarks for internal operations and customer-facing purposes.
• Serve as the overall owner for the enterprise ITAM tool (Service Now) and manage all enhancements and change requests related to the database, feeds, or user interface.
• Work closely with multiple IT Teams and customers to identify and report trends, resolve issues/escalations, implement best practices, and reduce costs.
• Create and implement processes for tracking and analyzing technical and financial data of assets from planning through disposal.
• Perform periodic analysis and management reporting of key asset management metrics such as software compliance risks, software optimization or cost reduction opportunities, application rationalization opportunities, etc.
• Explore opportunities for maximizing or exploiting unused or partially used IT assets to achieve full efficiency and ROI from resources.
• Develop and educate the organization on established ITAM standards, policies and processes as well as their value.
• Manage the maintenance of records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties and service agreements for software and hardware assets to ensure compliance with supplier contracts.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
• This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required.

• Bachelor’s degree & 5+ years of relevant experience OR
• If no degree, 1 year of experience for each year of education OR
• AA & 7+ years of relevant experience OR
• HS Diploma or GED & 9+ years of relevant experience

Preference will be given to candidates who possess
• Prior experience leading IT Asset teams and projects in enterprise level companies
• Experience with ServiceNow ITAM and ITSM tools.
• Software and Hardware Asset Management experience
• Experience with Asset Management of 3rd party Software products
• ITIL processes knowledge and experience
• Very strong communication and collaboration skills
• High Initiative and ability to lead people and projects
• Any of the following certifications – ITILv3, CITAM, CSAM, CHAMP.
