OSDH is seeking a full time Grants Coordinator providing support to Immunization Service. This is a state employee position 34000264 governed by the Civil Service Rules, located in Oklahoma City, OK. The annual salary for this position is up to $65,000 based on education and experience.

Position Summary:
This position serves as the Grants Coordinator for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) VFC and COVID-19 grants for Immunization Service. The position will be responsible for the coordination of grant operations, including development of processes to complete activities in accordance with VFC and COVID-19 grant objectives.  The position will be responsible for collection, organization, and analysis of data/findings to evaluate program effectiveness. Submission of required reports, preparation and management of budgets, identification of training and funding needs related to Immunization grant operations is also required.   This position will work closely with personnel from service divisions and stakeholders both internal and external to the agency to ensure effective administration of the program as intended to improve Immunization rates  for the State.

Position Responsibilities /Essential Functions:
Immunization budget preparation, analysis, and evaluation in coordination with the OSDH Financial Service division.

Tracking of expenditures and validation of Immunization grants.

Coordinate annual grant application process, including the organization, analysis, preparation of necessary materials, submission and the documentation of award amounts including active contracts funded by Immunization Service.

Provision of guidance for completing narrative and budget assignments, meeting deadlines, obtaining programmatic and departmental approvals.

Consultation with internal and external partners involved with Immunization activities to resolve problems, identify needs, and discuss program effectiveness.

Development and implementation of effective techniques for monitoring Immunization technical reviews to improve grant outcomes and future grant submissions.

Ensuring compliance with grant reporting requirements and deliverables.

Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Work is typically performed in an office setting with a climate controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise level. While performing the duties of the job, employee is required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires long period of sitting and daily use of computer and phone. 

 

 

 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

*Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or similar business-oriented degree.
*1 year of experience contributing to and monitoring grants.
