Position is located at the Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center in Tecumseh, OK.
'This position is a safety sensitive position as defined by 63 O.S. § 427.8 (K)(1)(i)(2) due to providing direct child care. Therefore, those applicants testing positive for marijuana will not be hired even when in possession of a valid medical marijuana license.'
Annual hiring rate Y11B $48,721.04
Position may be underfilled as Y11A $44,889.90
Perform nursing assessments on new admissions and readmissions, taking vital signs, cleansing wounds, applying dressing and splints as ordered by doctor, recording medication as given, administering first aid to employees and residents as ordered by doctor.
Position will observe patient for positive improvement from medications; document and report to appropriate physician; complete nursing assessments on new employees which will consist of TB screenings; contagious disease screening and documenting same.
Maintaining health records on residents and employees.
Evaluates the need and administers prescribed medications per doctor's orders (routine and standing) as appropriate. Will follow physician's orders in administering medications, treatments, wound dressing, obtaining lab specimens (i.e. blood draws)
Must be able to pass background check and drug screening. Applicants must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel normally associated with this position, possess a valid Oklahoma driver's license at time of appointment.
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing plus one year of practical nursing experience; or Licensed Practical Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) plus one year of practical nursing experience.
