Veterans Placement Office

The Office of Veterans Placement provides career services to all honorably discharged veterans seeking Oklahoma State employment. Eligible veterans that meet or exceed the minimum qualifications for executive State Employee positions, as determined by the Office of Veterans Placement, will be guaranteed interviews for those positions.

Instructions for your Email Request for Veterans Placement Eligibility:

1. Please add in the subject line 'Veterans Placement Application"
2. Attach one of the supporting documents listed below. Applications with missing documents will not be processed.
   a.   If you were active duty, submit a copy of the Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (DD Form 214 or 215). 
   b.   If your were a reservist, submit a copy of your discharge certificate.
   c.   If you were in the National Guard, submit a copy of your Report of Separation and Record of Service (NGB Form 22 or 22A).NGB 22 with the conditions of discharge or characterization of service or a NGB 22A if applicable
3. Send your email to veteransplacement@omes.ok.gov 
4. You will receive an email response from the Office of Veterans Placement within 3 business days of your request with your eligibility form or an email stating you are not eligible for veterans placement.

Applying for eligibility provides veterans with an eligibility determination. Eligible veterans may use the Office of Veterans Placement's benefits and resources to gain employment with the State of Oklahoma.

To qualify for eligibility, one must be a veteran.  A veteran is a person who has been honorably discharged or under honorable conditions from the Armed Forces of the United States. In order to meet minimum qualifications a veteran will need to supply one of the following items.

1. DD 214 with the conditions of discharge or characterization of service or a DD 215 if applicable
2. NGB 22 with the conditions of discharge or characterization of service or a NGB 22A if applicable
