The Capital Assets Management Division of OMES is seeking a full time Maintenance Technician II  .This is an unclassified position in state government, located in Oklahoma City providing service in and around the Capitol Complex.  OMES offers a comprehensive Benefits Package, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents.  For more information about the benefit allowance [click here]. The annual salary for this position is up to $36,854.00 based on education and experience.

This position is assigned responsibilities involving the maintenance support for various buildings managed by OMES Office of Facilities Management (OFM), with a dedicated focus on the Capitol. Support may include scheduled preventative maintenance, on-site customer service, various inspections, and general work requests.

Position Responsibilities 
* Assist with maintenance of multiple state buildings managed by Office of Facilities Management, with a dedicated focus on the Capitol.
*Perform complex maintenance and repair activities with minimal supervision.
*Perform assigned preventative maintenance activities on air handlers, pumps, motors and other associated HVAC equipment. 
*Address work requests as assigned.
*Set up events within facilities managed by the Office of Facilities Management to ensure occupant safety.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical demands include the ability to bend, crouch, stoop, sit and/or lift objects weighing 50 pounds or more. The position uses manual equipment, including dollies and carts. Some extended hours including evenings and weekends maybe required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and two years of experience in construction, maintenance, or skilled building trade.
