OMES is seeking a full time Reconciliation Manager for our Employees Group Insurance Division (EGID).  This is an unclassified position in state government, located in Oklahoma City.  OMES offers a comprehensive Benefits Package, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents.  For more information about the benefit allowance [click here].The annual salary for this position is up to $57,588 based on education and experience.

This position provides leadership and management of the activities of the Reconciliation Unit. This unit is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of insurance premium payments and refunds, fund deposits, account reconciliations, and premium discrepancy reports.

Position Responsibilities
• Responsible for the operation of the Reconciliation Unit.
• Manages, trains, and mentors staff members to assist in the responsibilities and functions of the unit, and to serve as a final backup resource to the unit.
• Assigns work, audits results, and assesses job performance of unit staff members.
• Works with General Ledger Unit to resolve differences in the monthly reconciliation of the premium accounting system and general ledger records.
• Ensures all electronic payment files are reconciled to billing and posted to correct account.
• Ensures billings and refunds are processed accurately and within required timeframes.
• Audits work performed by staff to ensure payments, reconciliation, and other assigned tasks are in accordance with all required guidelines. Ensure account tolerances are maintained at acceptable thresholds.
• Writes and maintain current procedures for all functions within the Reconciliation Unit.
• Prepares monthly account status reports while monitoring aging balances and acting on overdue accounts.
• Must comply with all agency, state and federal HIPAA and Fraud, Waste and Abuse policies. Demonstrate knowledge of, and compliance with, the agency Compliance Program and the HIPAA requirements.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position works in a comfortable office setting with a large percentage of the workday done on a computer and telephone. The noise level is usually mild. Ability to occasionally lift paper and office supplies and to perform job duties on a computer and telephone for 6-8 hours per day is necessary. Occasional travel may be required.

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or closely related field
• Two years of experience in bookkeeping work; the maintenance, analysis and reconciliation of multiple accounts or closely related work
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.
