JOB SUMMARY
Serve as support contact person for agency visitors; including Government Officials, School Administrators, Teachers, Parents, and Students.  Primary duty is to provide excellent customer service to all visitors and direct them to the appropriate office whether in person or via the phone.  Additional duties include assisting the Human Resources Department with special projects as assigned and related duties as required

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Four (4) years of experience in customer service, education, public relations, or technical service provision or general office experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Two (2) years of college, business school, or vocational education [official transcript(s) required].

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Knowledge of appropriate telephone procedures and techniques of standard business communications; of business English and of modern office management principles, methods and procedures;
• Ability to effectively communicate with educators and the general public to determine their specific needs and/or requests;
• Knowledge of technology and ability to use it to maximize efficiency and services.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
• Ability to analyze situations and make decisions in accordance with agency policy; to organize and present information clearly and concisely;
• Ability to establish effective working relations with other employees and the public; to exercise tact, courtesy and initiative;
• Conscientious commitment and willingness to provide courteous, consistent, efficient service through the performance of the prescribed job duties.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Assist visitors with directions to obtain information regarding their specific needs and/or requests, including handing out visitor badges or securing appropriate staff to meet with visitors;
• Assist and direct callers to appropriate department;
• Primary point of contact for reserving meeting rooms; maintains calendars of all scheduled meetings at the department;
• Maintain and update the agency Staff Directories;
• Assist the Human Resources Department with special projects as assigned and related duties as required.

TRAVEL
No travel required.

TELEWORK
This position is not eligible to telework.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position splits time between a general office setting and a lobby reception area.

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE
$31,500 - $32,500
