JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision and in accordance with federal and state laws, rules and regulations of the State Board of Education, serve as a State Professional Development Grant (SPDG) Digital Content Specialist. The primary focus of this position is to enhance the work of the SPDG by providing administrative and technical support by managing digital platforms for stakeholder engagement

PLEASE NOTE: This position is funded through a federally awarded grant that ends on September 30,2022. It is the goal of the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) to apply for more funding if it becomes available.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university [official transcript(s) required];
• Two (2) years of experience managing digital platforms.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university [official transcript(s) required].

• Knowledge of technology and ability to use it to maximize efficiency and services;
• Ability to use digital tools to develop communications for external stakeholders;
• Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail;
• Conscientious commitment and willingness to provide courteous, consistent, efficient service through performance of the prescribed job duties;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other employees, school officials, and the public; to present facts and opinions clearly, concisely and objectively; to analyze situations correctly and to adopt an effective course of action; to engage in several projects simultaneously;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, school officials, and the general public.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Oversee digital learning platforms, social media platforms, and email communications with various stakeholders;
• Develop digital media to communicate project activities and goals to a statewide audience;
• Manage SPDG newsletter communications and OTISS project websites for accuracy;
• Collaborate with SPDG consultants to plan and implement digital communication campaigns;
• Manage online learning platform modules and author content into learning platforms;
• Collect and distribute data from digital sources to support annual performance reporting of grant activities;
• Provide other administrative support to SPDG team;
• Other duties as assigned.

TRAVEL
5% travel required

TELEWORK
This position is eligible to telework up to two (2) days a week. A Telework Agreement is required upon hire.

SALARY
$40,000/YEAR
