JOB SUMMARY
Under direction of the Chief Financial Officer, coordinate clerical needs associated with Paid Student Teaching Initiative and Math Tutoring Corps Initiative; provide assistance to department staff; perform related work as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● Four (4) years of clerical and/or accounting experience;
● Proof of high school diploma or GED.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● Associates degree or higher

NOTE: One year of college, business school or business/office-related vocational education may be substituted for each year of the required experience [official transcript(s) required].

● Ability to lead, take the initiative, work independently and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, paying close attention to detail on many and varied tasks;
● Ability to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions; to organize and present facts and opinions clearly and concisely; to exercise tact, courtesy and initiative; to adapt to an automated work environment;
● Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with fellow employees, all school personnel and the public;
● Conscientious commitment and willingness to provide courteous, consistent, efficient service through the performance of the prescribed job duties;
● Applicants must be willing and able to perform necessary job-related (statewide) travel.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
● Keep abreast of all regulatory requirements and annual changes;
● Complete reports as assigned or required;
● Assist department in accurately processing contracts and MOUs in a timely manner;
● Process and reconcile invoices, vendor statements and other accounting documents;
● Assist department in producing correspondence;
● Assist department in the development and update of Web pages.
● Organize, attend and take reference notes of meetings;
● Schedule and arrange venues for professional development;
● Handle or direct inquiries as appropriate;
● Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times;
● Manage confidential and reference files;
● Develop and maintain conducive working relationships with, Departmental Directors, staff and other governmental and community entities.

TRAVEL
20% Travel required with occasional overnight stays.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment consists of a regular office environment on a daily basis with some fieldwork.

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE
$32,000 - 35,000
