The Oklahoma Tax Commission is seeking to hire an attorney to serve as a part-time Law Clerk.  This position will conduct legal research to support the Administrative Law Judges in their decision-making.  They will also provide a wide-range of legal support based on the needs of the agency.

The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is detail oriented, and has a strong work-ethic.  The position is limited to approximately 20 hours per week at an hourly rate of $29.69.

Typical job duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
• Analyzes legal issues, conducts legal research, and prepares bench memos at the direction of administrative law judges on various topics, primarily including, but not limited to Oklahoma state taxation;
• Proofreads proposed administrative decisions;
• Attend hearings conducted by administrative law judges upon request;
• Performs other duties as requested by administrative law judges consistent with traditional law clerk positions.
Telework may be required based on the needs of the agency, division, and section.  If applicable, applicant must be willing and able to BOTH work on-site and telework at an off-site location, generally in the applicant’s home.  Applicant must have a secure internet connection and a dedicated telephone (landline) or smart phone device during scheduled working hours.
