Under the general direction of the Chief Quality Officer and t the Quality Unit leadership, this position is responsible for using a variety of databases in order to evaluate complex data involving OHCA members and providers.  The data analysis and interpretation provided in this position will be instrumental in quality improvement planning for the future of the agency.  Communication skills will be instrumental in the process of obtaining information and relaying it to Quality Unit Managers and Facilitators.

*Ability to extract data about OHCA members and providers from OHCA’s databases/systems based upon questions posed by the CQO, Quality Unit Managers and Quality Improvement Facilitators.
*Compiles routine statistical data using Business Objects; collects and edits data for accuracy and completeness.
*Conducts surveys, utilization analysis and evaluation research regarding programs and projects.
*Prepares and arranges statistical tables and charts for compilation into manuals, handbooks and reports.
*Analyzes and interprets data, using statistical research programs or other methods, and makes projections based on statistical inference.
*Prepares and submits data for programs following administrative guidelines.
*Conducts research using the internet and other acceptable practices.
*Validates and proves compiled results.
*Automates and streamlines process while maintaining full documentation for cross-training.
*Must be familiar with current agency quality reporting efforts and able to provide ad hoc reports when necessary.
*Create tables and dashboards to facilitate operational goals of the Quality Unit and to inform communication on continuous quality improvement from the Board to the front line of the organization.
*Compile state rankings across multiple indicator lists.
*Consult with internal stakeholders across departments as indicated to drive successful delivery of the Quality Unit’s objectives, primarily to improve key quality indicator scores by continually adjusting and supplying data queries/reports to support iterative quality improvement cycles for members whose coverage is administered by internal departments and by external entities.
*Assist with scheduling and email efficiency for Quality Unit leadership.
*Evaluate assignments, access necessary databases, gather, analyze and interpret data to compile information that is operationally useful for the Quality Unit. 
*Excellent communication skills will be instrumental to address complex issues.

*Bachelor’s degree OR
*4 years of related experience in quality assurance, data analysis, or complaint resolution and experience in using a database computer program OR
*An equivalent combination of education and experience, (substituting 30 semester hours for each year of experience) totaling 4 years 

*MMIS/iCE or MIS operations experience or education
*SoonerCare/Medicaid experience
*Quality assurance experience
*Advanced education
*Dashboard Building Tools (e.g. Tableau, Lumira)
*Visual Basic for Applications coding
*MS Suite (Access, Excel, Publisher, and Word)
*Direct health insurance work experience (e.g., Quality Assurance, Claims, policy, etc.)
*Statistical software experience (e.g., SAS, SPSS. etc)
*Technical writing experience
