Technical Project Advisor
This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
The Oklahoma Department of Labor (ODOL) is seeking a full-time unclassified Technical Project Advisor to oversee the implementation of new applications/functionality as well as the operational support of the existing applications. This includes determining the information services requirements of ODOL, establishing priorities, evaluating and projecting hardware and software needs, and developing budget work programs to provide staff the equipment necessary to implement required information services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Serve as a liaison between stakeholders, business, and technical aspects of a service program area
*Serve as the contact point for agency employee complaints and issues to elevate cases
*Facilitate communication upward and across the organization
*Meet all information technology requirements of ODOL through the development of appropriate operating and applications systems
*Develop plans for future utilization of information technology services in the overall ODOL program, and make recommendations concerning the selection and purchase of equipment, vendor products or services
*Evaluate systems and anticipate needs for upgrading hardware or software used by the ODOL.
*Understands and assesses existing business processes and document management functions.
*Collaborates with user groups and agency leadership to identify process gaps and automation opportunities.
*Designs, develops and implements apps, dashboards, flows, and other automation and document management solutions utilizing Office 365
*Develops and deploys end-user resources to support implementation of automation solutions, including, but not limited to, online licensing, user guides, instructions, in-person and video training and SharePoint sites.
*Maintain and organize agency technology product and programs
*Other duties may be assigned on an as-needed basis
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Include knowledge and/or affinity for technology including data processing hardware and software Knowledge of systems analysis and development, project management and documentation. This position requires an ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects concurrently and independently, often under time restrictions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. The successful candidate will have strong customer service skills, oral and written communication skills, flexibility, eager to learn, dependable and team-oriented.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associate Degree in business, management or related area. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in project and/or database management or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
