The Office of Management and Enterprise Services is seeking a full time  Business Analyst for the Information Services Division. This is an unclassified position in state government, located in Oklahoma City.  OMES offers a comprehensive Benefits Package, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents.  For more information about the benefit allowance [click here]. The annual salary for this position is up to $65,000.00 based on experience.

This position is responsible for the coordination or analysis of a variety of technical services related to providing information services and support for management information systems within a state agency or institution.

Position Responsibilities
• Identify business needs and determine solutions to business problems, which often include a software systems development component, but may consist of process improvement, organizational change or strategic planning and policy development
• Develop documentation and materials, including diagrams, models, manuals, and procedure documents
• Plan the requirements development process, determine which requirements are the highest priority for implementation, and manage change
• Understand the needs of the business as a whole, its strategic direction, and identify initiatives that will allow a business to meet those strategic goals
• Conduct feasibility studies, prepare business cases and conduct initial risk assessments
• Perform requirements elicitation, utilize techniques for collecting requirements for stakeholders (such as brainstorming), document analysis, focus groups, interviews, workshops, reverse engineering, surveys, task analysis, process mapping, and job shadowing
• Perform requirements analysis and documentation, develop, and specify requirements in enough detail to allow them to be successfully implemented by a project team
• Use techniques to ensure that stakeholders have a shared understanding of the requirements and how they will be implemented

Physical Demands and Work Environment
• This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the work day. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements include 60 semester hours toward a degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience in a related field for each year of the required education.
