Located in Environmental Complaints & Local Services Division-Grove Unit; Northeast Region.  The office location is Grove, Oklahoma.

Major Job Duties:
1. Provide environmental complaint response, investigation and resolution within an assigned geographic area.
2. Perform inspections at facilities permitted by the DEQ.
3. Perform all regulatory functions of the on-site sewage treatment program to include soil tests for system design, inspection of system installations, review of soil tests and inspections done by the private sector and issuance of authorizations for the construction of sewage treatment systems.
4. Provide technical service to citizens and municipalities with regard to water treatment, wastewater treatment, solid waste disposal and air pollution control.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Applicants must meet the qualifications for a Registered Sanitarian and Environmental Specialist, which includes a Bachelors with a major in public health, environmental health, environmental science, physical science, natural science, biological science, agricultural science or equivalent from an accredited college or university with at least thirty (30) semester hours of work in physical, natural, and biological science, public health and/or environmental health. Special Requirement:
Positions require walking long distances over a variety of terrain such as loose gravel, slopes, excavated areas, climb ladders or stairs at construction sites, and working in extreme weather conditions.  Must be able to carry equipment and spend long hours driving in an automobile.
