The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is responsible for providing services to Oklahomans who are affected by mental illness and substance abuse. ODMHSAS strives to provide persistent, incremental improvements in the quality and effectiveness of treatment which results in better recovery for more Oklahomans. Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH) is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for adults. GMH provides community crisis stabilization and residential treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health and trauma related conditions.

Housekeeping/Custodial Workers have the integral role and basic function of the caring for and cleaning of Griffin Memorial Hospital. Level IV employees in this job classification are responsible for the supervision and management of employees performing these duties. All department employees have housekeeping and custodial duties including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, disposal of trash, and other cleaning.

Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities involving the care and cleaning of a state institution, public building, or state lodge or in the supervision or management of employees performing these duties.
The Housekeeping/Custodial Worker job family consists of four levels that are distinguished based on the duties assigned, the expertise required to perform assigned work, and the responsibility assigned for providing supervision to others.
This is the leadership level of this job family where employees are assigned responsibilities involving the supervision of workers involved in the operation of a housekeeping and/or custodial department in a state institution, building or state lodge. In this role employees supervise two or more custodial crews, and they will assign work, review and evaluate performance and provide training. Some positions may serve as an assistant to a Custodian/Housekeeping Superintendent.
Education and Experiencerequirements at this level consist of two years of experience in building or institutional custodial work or in the hospitality industry.
