Position located at Woodward Outpatient Services
Primary Work Hours: 8am-5pm
Primary Work Location: Northwest Center for Behavioral Health, Outpatient
MAJOR WORK DUTIES:
Join our team of dedicated staff at Northwest Center for Behavioral Health. We are currently accepting resumes for a Psychiatrist to provide direct psychiatric services to individuals with mental illness. Assists in planning, organizing, coordinating and directing professional service activities and programs assigned. Performs related work as required. Provide on-call coverage regarding psychotropic medication management issues in assigned patients. Order and review laboratory tests as indicated in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient’s psychiatric illness.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
MUST BE LICENSED TO PRACTICE MEDICINE BY THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA AND TEN (10) OR MORE YEARS’ EXPERIENCE IN PSYCHIATRIC MEDICINE.
Knowledge in the fields of psychiatry and physical medicine; must possess assessment skills for appropriate evaluation and treatment of psychiatric and physical illnesses; must possess written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and record keeping, charting skills and basic math skills; ability to provide leadership to team members; ability to record observations and activities, follow oral and written instructions, maintain effective working relationships with others, and to intervene quickly in a crisis; ability to make a variety of complex clinical decisions.
ADDITIONAL FACTORS FOR CONSIDERATION:
Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
