Primary working hours: 2:30pm-11:00pm

Primary work location: Oklahoma Forensic Center, Vinita, OK

Major Work Duties: 
Incumbent will be assigned responsibilities involving the supervision and management of staff and overseeing the daily operation of assigned units of a 200-bed facility to include evaluating staff job performance, providing coverage, and other related assigned duties as a supervisor. 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience: 
Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license to practice Registered Nursing as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and; A Master’s Degree and one (1) year of professional nursing experience in a supervisory capacity;  OR  Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of professional nursing experience, one of which must have been in a supervisory capacity  OR  Three (3) years of professional nursing experience, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.

Additional Factors for Consideration:  
Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.  Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background check.

Upon appointment, incumbents designated by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services may be required to complete certification in one of the following Departmental sponsored training in case management: Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager – Adult; Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager – Child, Adolescent and Family; or Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager – Dual Certification.

Drug and Alcohol Pre-employment and Pre-placement Testing: 
Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs.  Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result.

THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME.
