Location: SBVI91 – Tulsa Visual Services Center

Salary:  Annual salary is $42,816.00 – $47,328.00.

Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for providing instructional, guidance and resource services to deaf-blind consumers and their families at initial referral and beyond in addressing problems related to personal, social, and vocational adjustment to the consumer’s disabilities. Consults with DRS staff on appropriate devices, training, and services necessary for Informed Choice of services and Vocational Goal. Acts as consultant to assist employers and businesses with understanding and adhering to guidelines for accommodating people with deaf-blindness according to the ADA or other laws, regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to persons with disabilities. Participates in deaf-blind events to help demonstrate inclusion, self-advocacy and interpersonal skills to deaf-blind consumers. Assists DRS staff with finding employment opportunities and placement of deaf-blind clients.

Preferred Skills, Education and Experience
Must possess excellent skills in American Sign Language (ASL). Preference may be given to applicants currently holding a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) certification, Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Professional Vocational Evaluator (PVE) or the ability to sit for these credentials.

Selective Qualifications:
Applicant must possess excellent skills in American Sign Language (ASL) and must upload a copy of their transcript with their application submission, and any current Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Professional Vocational Evaluator (PVE) certification or documentation of eligibility to sit for above certifications.

Salary:  Annual salary range is $42,816.00 – $47,328.00.
