INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER

The Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) announced the opening of the full-time position titled Investigative Reporter in Oklahoma City. The most qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
OETA’S award-winning, statewide news program, The Oklahoma News Report, seeks an investigative reporter to join the team. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in journalism and at least 2 years of experience as a broadcast journalist who can find the details that others miss. They will possess strong writing skills, as well as a familiarity with FOIA laws, Oklahoma state politics, economics, and hard-hitting social issues.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Generate story ideas, conduct research, and build contacts to produce one, 5-minute investigative news package every two weeks. The ability to work independently is a must, but always with a team member mindset.

COMPENSATION
Salary up to $40,000. A generous benefit package including health, leave, retirement, plus much more.
