Primary Working Hours: VARIOUS

Primary Work Location:  Northwest Center for Behavioral Health, Fort Supply

Salary Range:  $13.22 Hourly/$2,291.67 Monthly/$27,500.00+ Annually

Major Work Duties:
Utilizes active listening and problem solving skills to assist consumers to identify barriers to recovery and to assist in the development of a plan to meet determined goals. Will monitor recovery potential and progress toward treatment goals. Utilize appropriate decision-making related to treatment of consumers of mental health and/or substance abuse services, including but not limited to identifying relevant behaviors/activities, and managing group dynamics.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Associates Degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting two years of patient care experience for the Associates Degree. Preference may be given for participation in DMHSAS-sponsored Consumer Assistant Specialist certificate program.

Additional Factors for Consideration:
Subject to .43/hr. afternoon and night shift differentials and .75/hr. weekend and Holiday pay (Independence Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas only.) Selected applicants will participate in DMHSAS-sponsored Consumer Recovery specialist certificate Program. Requires the possession of a valid US driver’s license at the time of appointment to perform job related travel.

Drug and Alcohol Pre-employment and Pre-placement Testing
Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs and also to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasional lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.

THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME.
