OMES is seeking a full time Curriculum Training Specialist. This is an unclassified position in state government, located in Oklahoma City.  OMES offers a comprehensive Benefits Package, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependentsFor more information about the benefit allowance [click here].The annual salary for this position is up to $56,800, based on education and experience.

The purpose of this position is to provide training and professional development to employees in various topics or skills.  This includes the design, development and implementation of training materials, programs and other training opportunities to be used in workshops, classes or seminars held in a variety of online and in-person settings.

Position Responsibilities *denotes essential function
• Conduct classroom training, webinars, workshops or seminars;*
• Utilize video, audio and other types of equipment to present training;*
• Gather information to use in developing training courses.*
• Use small group facilitation tools Research and prepare information and materials to be used in conducting and/or facilitating classroom, blended or online training, meetings or seminars, including learning objectives, training guides, participant manuals, videos, slides and other materials.
• Determine employee and agency training and professional development needs through surveys, interviews, or other sources;
• Reviews and analyzes special requests for training courses and professional development.
• Creates and conducts classroom, online, blended or other types of training using adult education and training principles and techniques; evaluates results and makes changes or adjustments as needed.
• Keep curriculum and resource materials updated and documenting change.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess
• Proficiency in using an enterprise learning management system and other learning technologies.
• Knowledge of curriculum development methods and techniques.
• Proficiency in web or online course development.
• Superb follow-up and organizational skills and is a detail-oriented self-starter.


Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in training, human resource development or classroom teaching or completion of a master’s degree in adult education or human resource development; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of qualifying experience for each year of the bachelor’s degree.
