BASIC PURPOSE

Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities involving the layout, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures and related equipment in a state agency or facility.

LEVEL DESCRIPTORS

This job family consists of four levels which are distinguished based on the complexity of work assigned, the expertise required to complete assigned tasks, and the responsibility assigned for the supervision of others. 
 
Level II:                                   
This is the career level of this job family where employees are assigned responsibilities for performing a full range of duties in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems as a journeyman electrician.  This may include some responsibilities for providing training and guidance to apprentice electricians or other nonlicensed personnel assigned to assist in completing some projects.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Level II:                      
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of licensure as a Journeyman Electrician with the Okalhoma Construction Industries Board.
