Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH) is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for adults.  GMH provides community crisis stabilization and residential treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health and trauma related conditions.

Full time / $62,600+
Schedule days: Monday – Friday (8AM – 5PM)

Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director of Nursing will be a supportive member of the nursing leadership team that administers the nursing program at Griffin Memorial Hospital to maintain accreditation standards of patient care.  Advises in matters related to nursing services, establishes goals and objectives of the nursing program and monitors quality assurance standards, policies and procedures.  Recommends and approves the selection, transfer, promotion, discipline and other transactions related to personnel.  Conducts staff meetings, direct orientations and in-service trainings for nursing staff.  Initiates studies to evaluate effectiveness of nursing services in relation to its objectives and cost.

Qualifications:
Possession of a valid permanent OK Registered Nurse license as approved by the OK State Board of Nursing, and a Master’s in Business or Public Administration, a Mental Health or Health related field, or a Nursing related field; and four (4) years of experience as a Registered Nurse performing professional psychiatric nursing, two (2) years of which must have been in an administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity.

OR Possession of a valid permanent OK Registered Nurse license as approved by the OK State Board of Nursing, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, a Mental Health or Health related field, or a Nursing related field; and five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse performing professional psychiatric nursing two (2) years of which must have been in an administrative, managerial, or supervisory capacity.
              
OR Possession of a valid permanent OK Registered Nurse license as approved by the OK State Board of Nursing; and seven (7) years of experience as a registered nurse performing professional psychiatric nursing two (2) years of which must have been in an administrative, managerial, or supervisory capacity.
