Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH) is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for adults.  GMH provides community crisis stabilization and residential treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health and trauma related conditions.

Job Type/Salary:  
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (full time)
Salary: $53,168.00+

This leadership position allocates social work resources essential to provide clinical tasks in the following areas:  Psychosocial assessments, individual counseling and therapy, group therapy; activity therapy. Establishes and maintains relationships with other agencies and organizations in the community toward meeting community needs and services; serves as link between patient, psychiatric agency and community; Facilitates a strengths based approach to treatment planning; Recommends improvements to quality patient care by analyzing overall operational systems by communicating with other team leaders, both orally and in writing; Demonstrates ability to monitor and conduct complex projects and assignments simultaneously. Serves as a key member of the hospital’s executive management team.

Completion of a master’s degree in social work, psychology, or other behavioral sciences, nursing, public or business administration or related field AND five (5) years of professional experience in hospital administration or management; management analysis; nursing; social work; risk management; or closely related area, or in a hospital or clinical facility substance use disorders or emergency, trauma or crisis services which must have included two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one (1) year of qualifying experience for one (1) year of the required education.

Note:  No substitution will be allowed below the baccalaureate degree. 

***Preference will be given to applicants, who have achieved a conferred Master in Social Work (MSW) degree.***
