OMES is seeking a full time Administrative Assistant to provide technical clerical support Federal Property and Distribution of the Division of Capital Assets Management (DCAM). A complete understanding of the Microsoft Office Suites is required.  Ability is required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to handle confidential matters with tact and discretion; to express ideas clearly and concisely; to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions; to interpret and handle routine matters in accordance with agency policy; and to follow oral and written instructions.

Position Responsibilities
• Receives customers and/or visitors; answers telephone calls; takes messages and disseminates information; directs the request to those who can provide the customer with the information or services when necessary.
• Performs a variety of sorting and filing tasks; opens, sorts, distributes, collects, and delivers mail; performs a number of tasks such as posting and recording data.
• Back-up duties for the Department Receptionist
• Enters and retrieves information using personal computer; proofs previously entered data and makes routine corrections.
• Schedule appointments and other assigned duties.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
5% of the work week will be spent in travel status. 
Employee will spent 70% of time sitting in an office environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Five years of clerical office work or an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of college, vocational or business school for each year of the required experience.
