The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) is seeking to fill a full-time position at our beautiful, new, state of the art headquarters just south of the State Capital at 1801 N. Lincoln Blvd. Our office has easy access from all surrounding communities and has its own private parking lot. Our agency has free parking and is conveniently located on the EMBARK bus route with a stop in front of our building.
We offer excellent state benefits with a generous benefits allowance and depending on your benefit choices, may pay all of your health benefit costs with the excess remaining on your paycheck. We match your 5% payroll deducted contribution to the Defined Contribution Retirement Plan with 6% that increases to 8%, 10%, and 12% at 5, 10, and 15 years. You will accrue 15 days annual leave and 10 days sick leave per year as well as 11 paid state holidays yearly.

Standard work hours are 8:00 to 4:30 PM, M-F with flex schedules available depending on department needs. Stop by any day 8:00 – 4:30 PM, M-F to see our beautiful new building with a three-story waterfall and wildlife scenery in our main entry.
Position: License Assistant
Location: Central Office, 1801 N. Lincoln Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73105
Salary: $29,296.00 /Yearly*

Summary of Job Duties:
Under the supervision of the License Section Supervisor, verify payments, process license orders and audit the accounts of license dealers. Responsible for data entry of license orders, payments and reports. Handle and prepare correspondence and inquiries pertaining to dealer accounts. Issue commercial licenses, special permits, and lifetime licenses. Provide customer service at the window and by phone. Answer and route incoming phone calls. May be required to lift and carry medium to heavy weight materials. Job requires a high degree of accuracy. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Must have the ability to:
o Carry light to medium weight materials
o Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
o Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and follow instructions
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer two (2) years data entry, bookkeeping or related training.

Experience: Requires two (2) years related experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Must be able to operate the following equipment: calculator, typewriter, validating machine, copy machine, telephone, laminating machine, and personal computer. 10-key by touch is preferred. Must have working knowledge of word processing and Excel. Must be able to work well with others and follow instructions.
