Job Summary:
The Oklahoma Office of Attorney General is currently seeking a Legal Assistant or Paralegal for the Utility Regulation Unit and the Conservation Unit. The Legal Assistant or Paralegal will be tasked with supporting the Units’ team of attorneys and analysts as they carry out the duty to advocate for customers in utility regulation matters, and to represent the state’s interest in environmental matters. 

Support tasks include drafting, formatting, editing, and proofreading documents to be filed or delivered to outside entities; managing a group calendar and inbox; updating an electronic case management system; organizing documents in paper and electronic format; and performing other clerical tasks as directed by the Units’ attorneys.

Qualifications:
A qualified candidate must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, excellent computer and typing skills, and proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

Preference will be given to applicants who have completed a degree or certification in paralegal studies and/or who have substantial experience as a legal assistant or paralegal.
