Materiel Management Specialist II

Introduction

This position is located in Procurement and Facilities Unit with the Support Services Division at OSBI Headquarters in OKC.

PREFERENCE:
Persons appointed to this position in the agency must possess or obtain certification as a Certified Procurement Office (CPO) no later than eleven months from the date of appointment. 

MAJOR WORK DUTIES:
1.Maintains the Investigation Equipment Room and Offsite Storage to include but not limited to purchasing equipment, ordering equipment, issuing equipment, maintaining the equipment room inventory and giving approval for others to make purchases.
2.Maintains the unassigned radios and surveillance equipment to include but not limited to storing, issuing, receiving, and inventory control measures.
3.Responsible for the coordination of transportation of vehicles to and from vendors for vehicle repairs, radio and equipment installation.
4.Conducts annual equipment inventory audit of assigned equipment.
5.Makes deliveries and picks up items state wide as requested.
6.Assists with building maintenance and support as requested.
7.Assist with HQ Supply areas for breaks or when no other individual is available.

Successful applicants must be willing to submit to a drug screen, polygraph examination, psychological evaluation (commissioned positions only), and a thorough background investigation.  Certain events automatically disqualify an applicant, such as, felony conviction; admission of an undetected crime that, if known, would have been a felony charge; failure to pay federal or state income tax; positive confirmed drug urine test; illegal use of a controlled substance within certain time frames.

BASIC PURPOSE

The Materiel Management Specialist job family consists of four levels which are distinguished based on the level of complexity of specific job assignments, the extent of responsibility assigned for a specific task, the level of expertise required for the completion of assigned tasks, and the responsibility assigned for the supervision of others.

LEVEL DESCRIPTORS

Level II:    
This is the career level where employees perform responsible work at the full-performance level, and may provide assistance or training to others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Level II:                                  
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of two years experience in receipt, storage, or stock handling work, and issuance of material; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
