Carl Albert Community Mental Health Center in McAlester, OK is currently accepting resumes for Director of Nursing.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Possession of a valid permanent OK Registered Nurse license as approved by the OK State Board of Nursing; a Master’s in Business or Public Administration, a Mental Health or Health related field, or a Nursing related field; three (3) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse performing professional psychiatric nursing; and three (3) years’ experience in an administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity;

OR possession of a valid permanent OK Registered Nurse license as approved by the OK State Board of Nursing; a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, a Mental Health or Health related field, or a Nursing related field; four (4) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse performing professional psychiatric nursing; and three (3) years’ experience in an administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity;

OR possession of a valid permanent OK Registered Nurse license as approved by the OK State Board of Nursing; six (6) years’ experience as a registered nurse performing professional psychiatric nursing; and three (3) years’ experience in an administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity.

Major Work Duties:
This position oversees Inpatient and Nursing services for Carl Albert CMHC maintaining accreditation standards for patient care; advises medical staff, department heads and administration in matters related to nursing services; establishes and monitors Quality Assurance nursing standards, policies and procedures for acute and long term nursing units.

Additional Factors for Consideration:
Applicant must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.

Primary Working hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday

$65,600.00+
