DIRECTOR OF MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES

This position is located at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is responsible for providing services to Oklahomans who are affected by mental illness and substance abuse. Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH) is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for adults.  GMH provides community crisis stabilization and residential treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health and trauma related conditions.

Job Type/Salary:
Full time - $55,800+
Scheduled days: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (full time)

Responsibilities:
This leadership position plans, directs, coordinates and facilitates improvement of services that support administrative and clinical management functions of  a 120-bed psychiatric hospital. The position advises the hospital’s executive director on compliance with federal, state and accreditation laws, rules and standards for overall facility operations. The position directs the planning, coordination and implementation of a systematic, organization-wide process for designing, measuring, assessing, and improving hospital performance. The position leads and supervises professional and technical staff assigned to Management Support Services, including medical records and staff training functions.  The position serves on the hospital’s executive management team and collaborates with department heads to monitor, analyze and develop general policies and procedures for hospital services.

Qualifications:
Completion of a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or other behavioral sciences, nursing, public or business administration or related field and five (5) years of professional experience in hospital administration or management; management analysis; nursing; social work; risk management; or closely related area, or in a hospital or clinical facility providing direct patient care in one of the following areas: psychiatric, substance use disorders or emergency, trauma or crisis services, which must have included two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity.

NOTE:  No substitution for the two (2) years supervisory experience.
