This position will be housed on site at J.D. McCarty Center.
This position will act as representative for JD McCarty and DHS-DDS and participate in collaboration between the agencies for services provided to developmental disabled pediatric patients for the State of Oklahoma.
This position will serve as coordinator for DDSD and CWS staff and enhance a statewide partnership with Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse, OHCA, and community stakeholders. Facilitate resources and referrals. Applying expertise and knowledge in the fields of developmental disabilities and to carry out core provision including but not limited to the Quinton Wood Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Individuals with Disabilities Act.

The Administrative Programs Officer job family consists of four levels of work, which are distinguished by the depth, and breadth of accountability and the level of responsibility assigned for providing direction and leadership in administering assigned programs or activities.
At this level employees are assigned responsibilities involving the direction or management of a major program, division, unit or function, which is large in size and scope. Responsibilities include program development, direction, planning, and evaluation and organizing and coordinating program services and activities. Incumbents will be given administrative freedom to plan, develop, and organize all phases of the work necessary for its completion within broad program guidelines.
Requirements at this level consist of a bachelor's degree and one year of professional or technical administrative* experience in business or public administration plus three years of professional business or public administration experience including one year in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
*Technical administrative experience would include highly complex clerical work gained under the direct supervision of a professional supervisor or manager.
