FACILITIES SERVICE DIRECTOR

The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is responsible for providing services to Oklahomans who are affected by mental illness and substance abuse. Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH) is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for adults.  GMH provides community crisis stabilization and residential treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health and trauma related conditions.

Job Type/Salary: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (full time) / Salary: $47,500 +

Responsibilities:
This leadership position plans, directs, coordinates and facilitates the improvement of services in the environment of care at a 120 bed acute psychiatric hospital. The position ensures compliance with federal, state and accreditation laws, rules and standards for fire, security and safety. The position plans and implements critical support functions for the hospital including fire prevention, risk management, hazard mitigation, emergency preparedness and response, improvement in the environment of care, and safety of consumers, visitors and staff. The position serves on the hospital’s executive management team and collaborates with the hospital’s administrative and clinical directors to collect and analyze data, identify and prioritize problems, and develop and implement solutions to improve hospital safety and security. Responsibilities include developing policies and procedures, and training and evaluating staff to safely care for the hospital’s consumers. 

Qualifications:
Completion of a Master’s degree in business, health or hospital administration; and five (5) years of experience in administrative leadership, which must have included two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity OR any equivalent combination of education and experience in a related area may be considered.
Note:  No substitution for the two (2) year supervisory experience.
