This position is located in the Field Services Unit within the Information Services Division in Oklahoma City.
MAJOR WORK DUTIES:
1.Performs data quality reviews for all monthly Uniform Crime Reports for assigned agencies. When applicable, verifies and reports to the unit supervisor that an agency has no reportable offenses for a month. Initiates non-compliance letters in accordance with unit standard operating procedures.
2.Process IBR to UCR Summary conversion reports. Review data entry performed by the UCR Summary reporting agencies in accordance with unit standard operating procedures.
3.Plan, coordinate, and conduct individual and group classroom training of law enforcement personnel in the requirements of crime reporting procedures and techniques such as SIBRS, ODIS, and UCR Summary as required. Conducts training in regional training sessions. All trainings will be conducted in accordance with agency policy, unit standard operating procedures, and FBI data collection standards.
4.Serve as liaison to law enforcement agencies within assigned region; providing guidance, oversight, and assistance relating to collecting and reporting of criminal offenses in accordance with agency policy, unit standard operating procedures, state law, and FBI Uniform Reporting Guidelines. Provides in-person agency contacts to all law enforcement agencies within assigned region.
5.Serves on rotation to back up ODIS Support phones.

Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities related to providing training and assistance to law enforcement agencies and officials in the proper reporting of criminal arrests and activity and the maintenance of required records.
The Crime Reporting Field Representative job family consists of three levels which are distinguished by the type and complexity of work, and the responsibility assigned for the supervision of others.
This is the career level of this job family where incumbents perform a full range of work activities in coordinating the reporting of crime through major criminal justice information systems and providing training and assistance to law enforcement agencies and officials.
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree and two years of crime reporting experience with a law enforcement agency or professional experience in data collection, auditing, and reporting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience in crime reporting, in the field of law enforcement or public relations for each year of the required education.
NOTE: Data collection, auditing, and reporting experience should include: gathering data from different sources, ensuring the data is accurate and complete, and preparing a written report concerning that data for submission to a higher authority.
