The Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) is seeking a full-time Quality Testing Specialist providing services to our Stillwater location.  This is an unclassified position within Oklahoma State government.  OMES offers a comprehensive Benefits Package, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents.  For more information about the benefit allowance [click here].The annual salary for this position is based on education and experience.

Position Summary
This position involves the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance and quality control of a variety of technical services related to providing information services and support for the Career Tech Information Management System (CTIMS) within the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education as related to the CTIMS project.

Position Responsibilities
• Consult with IT business analysts to elicit system requirements
• Develop test plans, scenarios and scripts for all phases of the project lifecycle to determine the finished product meets identified requirements
• Coordinate all testing activities including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Oklahoma Information Technology Accessibility (OITA) testing
• Establish project defect tracking methodology and provide testing results to project leadership
• Verify adherence to project processes and procedures related to Quality Assurance
• Contribute to business process mapping, as well as process and service improvements
• Evaluate user and technical documentation, including diagrams, models, manuals, and procedure documents to ensure they are accurate and comprehensive
• Make recommendations in reducing or mitigating project risks affecting service quality

Valued Skills and Experience
• Experience with Agile testing methodology
• Experience developing and managing test plans and defect tracking for various size projects
• Experience using automated testing, tracking, and reporting tools
• Understanding of .Net development
• Ability to write basic SQL queries to verify test outcomes
• Accessibility compliance testing

Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position works in an indoor office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the work day. Minimal lifting up to 10 lbs may be needed. The noise level in the work environment is mild. Occasional travel of less than 130 miles roundtrip may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requirements include 60 semester hours toward a degree, plus two additional years of qualifying experience in performing work in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of experience in Information Technology for each year of required education.
