The Oklahoma Indigent Defense System (OIDS) is accepting applications for a capital investigator to work with the Norman Capital Trial Team. OIDS is the statewide public defender agency which provides legal representation to indigent clients throughout the State of Oklahoma, with the exception of Oklahoma and Tulsa counties. The investigator would join the team and would assist counsel and other investigators in representing clients against whom the State of Oklahoma is seeking
the death penalty.
Applicants should be highly motivated, detail orientated, well-organized, communicate well with others, willing to travel throughout Oklahoma and elsewhere, be willing to work long hours, be proficient with computers, have excellent people skills, be able to maintain confidential information, and have a commitment to the excellent representation of indigent clients. Persons with experience in criminal investigation, social work, teaching/special education, journalism, psychology and counseling, and probation and parole are encouraged to apply.

This position is a full time position and the salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and within agency salary schedule range. Excellent benefits include medical and dentalinsurance, paid vacations, and retirement benefits.
