Applicant will investigate veterinary complaints within the state of Oklahoma - a state vehicle will be provided; must live within  (round trip) 75 mile radius of Board office,  have at least 12 year’s law enforcement and CLEET certification is required.

All applicants must pass a drug test and a background investigation.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age; the ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree – criminal justice, animal science or other medical related degree from an accredited college or university.  Must possess CLEET certification; animal prescription knowledge and narcotic experience a plus; must be well versed in all aspects of law enforcement. In lieu of degree related work experience will be considered.

Major Work Duties:
Investigates alleged administrative violations of the Veterinary Practice Act -Title 59 of the Oklahoma Statutes as well as veterinary related violations of state and federal law; prepares investigative reports and presents appropriate cases for administrative prosecution before the board.

There will be a 90 probationary period before individual will be offered permanent position with starting salary and state benefits.

During probationary period pay will be $25 per hour.
