This position is located at Children's Recovery Center in Norman, Ok.
Lead Psychiatric Pediatric Nurse
Major Work Duties:
Make a difference in children’s lives at Children’s Recovery Center in Norman, OK! In partnership with the Nurse Manager, this position will assist with planning, organizing, training and coordinating nursing health services for CRC and for mentoring and directing of staff in accordance with the program goals and objectives. The person selected for this position will participate in the development of initial and long-range policy and procedure of CRC. This position also provides professional nursing services and assumes responsibility for the direct care of assigned adolescent patients experiencing severe emotional disorder(s) or psychiatric illness or substance abuse. Will supervise and oversee all staff including scheduling and covering shifts on their assigned shift.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Possession of a valid Oklahoma license as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to practice nursing and at least two (2) years of professional nursing experience, including one year in a specialized area of nursing, appropriate for the health care setting; or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing may substitute for the two (2) years of required experience.
Additional Factors for Consideration:
Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.

Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs. Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result.
