CPA-Management Services Division

INTRODUCTION
The Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) is seeking a dependable and self-motivated CPA for OTC’s accounting and reconciliation team in Oklahoma City. OTC Accounting is responsible for reconciliation of all agency, fund and tag agent accounts within the OTC.

BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position is responsible for completing monthly financial statements, while ensuring the necessary back up documentation is in place for adjustments and other entries. Additionally, the position will have responsibilities related to daily accounting functions and the annual financial statement preparation.

TYPICAL FUNCTIONS
Position responsibilities involve professional level work in the maintenance, analysis, interpretation and management of financial accounting data. This includes the preparation and posting of various journals, ledgers and accounts, analysis and presentation of financial data, review and approval of various vouchers and invoices for payment allocation of funds to various accounts or functions, and other similar activities.

• Complete monthly financial statements.
• Maintain Lease database in accordance with GASB 87
• Assist in the annual financial statement and CAFR report preparation.
• Assist in direct deposit updates and verifications.
• Prepare specialized reports for outside entities as needed for tax reporting.
• Research and implement new GASB pronouncements.
• Prepare General Ledger closing entries for month end reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field and a CPA designation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA's)
Preference may be given to candidates with:
• Experience in PeopleSoft Financials
• Understanding and demonstrated success with implementing financial controls

LICENSE/CERTIFICATE
CPA certificate

BENEFITS

Employees are provided a benefit allowance to spend towards their benefits. Employees earn three weeks annual and three weeks paid sick leave in the first year of employment.

Salary: $5,000 to $6,250
