This position may be filled at the alternate level of the JFD depending upon the qualifications of the recommended applicant.

Monthly Salary:
Case Manager II: $3,315.09
Case Manager I:  $3,083.91

INTRODUCTION

BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION
Manages each case to assure agency and community resources meet consumer and family needs.

TYPICAL FUNCTIONS
Position is critical to serve and assist individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or developmental disabilities to gain access to needed services including assessments, service planning, monitoring and to serve as QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA's)
Case Manager I KSA’s
•Knowledge of case management methods, principles and techniques; of types of intellectual and developmental disabilities represented within the caseload; of types of providers and services available for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities; of problem solving and mediation techniques, and of adaptive communication techniques and nonverbal communication. 
•Ability is required to manage a caseload of clients with intellectual  and/or developmental disabilities; to work cooperatively and effectively with other professionals in a team situation; to collect and analyze information; to make decisions relating to services provided to individuals; to develop a logical and practical individual plan for individuals with intellectual  and/or developmental disabilities; to evaluate the progress of individuals and the quality of their habilitation programs; to communicate effectively; and to manage and prioritize work based on the needs of the caseload.

Case Manager II KSA’s
•KSA’s identified at the Level I
•PLUS knowledge of the behavioral sciences and allied disciplines involved in the evaluation, care and training of individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Case Manager I

Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of:
A bachelor’s degree in a human services field* AND one (1) year of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities; (not professional-level)

OR

or possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to practice professional nursing AND one year of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. (not professional-level)

Case Manager II

Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of:
a bachelor’s degree in a human services field* and one year of professional experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in social work, case management, special education, psychology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nursing or a closely related field;

OR

a bachelor’s degree in a human services field* AND one year experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities; (not professional-level) AND one year of professional experience in social work, case management, special education, psychology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nursing or a closely related field

OR

a possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to practice professional nursing AND one year of professional nursing experience working directly with persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

NOTES 
A conditional offer of employment to final candidate will be contingent upon a favorable background check and a substance abuse screening.

Veteran's preference points do not apply to this position.
    
BENEFITS
This is a full-time unclassified state position with full state retirement and insurance benefits, including paid health, dental, life, and disability insurance. Annual leave of 10 hours per month and sick leave of 10 hours per month begin accruing immediately.
