The Oklahoma Educational Television Authority announces the opening of the position titled Studio Manager in Oklahoma City, OK. Applications will be taken until position is filled. The most qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview

• Supervise studio operations: Plan and actualize studio activities utilizing the space and assests to meet budgetary guidelines and deadlines of studio and remote productions.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate studio crew: provide proper understanding of camera, lighting, hanging and focusing lights, set-construction, teleprompter, editing techniques and studio maintenance. Oversee and participate in the design, construction, setup and strike of studio sets; including maintenance, touchup, repair, and storage to keep set pieces and property available and in good condition for use when needed.
• Oversee and execute studio and remote lighting procedures and plots. Formulate, evaluate and execute lighting designs to consistently comply with agency and market standards for all productions. Budget for and maintain inventories of lamps, gels, gaffer's supplies and other expendable materials needed for studio use.
• Monitor on-going projects and advise regarding budgeting for operational expenses and specific project costs both in daily studio assignments and on site remote locations.
• Work with the public and other departments and agencies to provide information and general assistance. Initiate preventative maintenance and work with Engineering on all studio equipment.
• Communicate effectively to set priorities for the studio crew in support of Production department and agency goals.
• Camera Operation: Operate studio cameras as directed with responsibilities for maintaining proper picture composition, focus, and care of equipment.
• Audio Operation: Operate various audio mixers as needed for studio and remote productions. Set-up microphones, IFB, and other audio needs for studio productions. Train studio crew in Audio Operation.
• Non-Linear Editing: Edit various projects for the Production dept. on Avid and Premier editing software. Train studio crew in editing, and editing practices including sequencing, pacing, composition and time management.
• Photoshop and After Effects: Basic understanding of both Photoshop and After Effects software. Help train studio crew in both.

· Minimum of four years' experience in studio operations and personnel preferred. Must be able to oversee studio and remote lighting procedures. A professional background in studio staging, lighting, camera operation, and facility management is preferred.
